Fatih Devlet ve Barış – Prof. Dr. Doğu Ergil
Özet
Türk kültürünün temelindeki fetih olgusu nedeniyle savaşlar yüceltilmiş,
Fatih adı güç ve egemenliğin simgesi olarak önem kazanmıştır. Bugün
toplumsal barış sağlama ve uzlaşma konusunda karşılaşılan zorlukların savaş
aracılığıyla siyasî ve iktisadi üstünlük kurmak geleneğinden kaynaklandığını
söylemek mümkündür. Barış, sadece savaşmama hâli değil, aynı zamanda
birlikte yaşamanın şartları konusunda uzlaşmadır; ancak bizim kültürümüzde
uzlaşma eksikliği de söz konusudur. Bu çalışmada birlikte yaşamanın
anahtarları Türk kültürünün temel unsurlarından ve toplum yapısından
yola çıkılarak ele alınmakta ve fatih devlet anlayışından barışa giden
yolların nasıl olması gerektiği gözler önüne serilmektedir.

Conqueror State and the Peace
Abstract
Due to the fact that the conquest is important in Turkish culture, the
wars were glorified, and the name “Fatih (the Conqueror)” became a symbol
of power and sovereignty. Today, it is possible to say that the difficulties
encountered in social peace and reconciliation are due to the tradition
of establishing political and economic superiority through war. Peace is not
only a warlessness condition but also a compromise on the conditions of
living together; however, there is a lack of reconciliation in our culture. In
this study, the keys to living together are taken from the basic elements of
Turkish culture and from the structure of society, and how to built the ways
to peace from the conception of the conqueror state is questioned.
